New features include more rivers, bunkers, racing, outposts, platform mission on Orison, salvaging, and limited hull repair. Biggest feature is probably more persistence. When a ship is destroyed it doesn't necessarily destroy everything, so you can salvage the wreckage and scoop up some of the cargo. Larger ships don't always just explode, they just turn into derelicts. Items and ships that spawn, crash or are abandoned just stay where they were.
I haven't been playing the test version of it, so I don't have any first hand experience with it.
I have not. Some of the people I normally play with have the same issue, some kind of 1900X error code everytime. It's a known issue that appears to be on the server side with the log in servers not being able to handle all the requests.
CIG claims they'll be some hotfixes coming out this week.
I did play a bit over the weekend. The login issues seem fixed, but 3.18 seems more unstable than 3.17 was. 30Ks happen a bit more frequently and inventory items just disappear from vehicle inventories. ASOP terminals break more often, sometimes meaning you can't spawn a ship and could be stranded at a location unless someones comes and picks you up. In some cases though, when a server crashes you sometimes get back in in the same place where you were. Sometimes your ship is lost and you just pop back up in the last location you visited.
For anyone that hasn't played this patch, I'd say wait another couple patches and let them sort out whatever problems they're having.
I did manage to play a bit last night but it was janky to say the least. I'm currently at Orison which seems a little easier on my hardware but it's been so long since I've put any time into it I need to relearn almost everything.

So how long has this game been in alpha? 10 years now right?
