Don't you buy more in Europe with the dollar than with the Euro? Only recently, not for the last 20 years. 1 USD is worth 1.03 Euro... a c*nt hair. Europe is in the mid of an energy crisis. They rely heavily on Russian oil. A dollar won't get much in Europe, you will need to change it to the local currency (they don't all use the Euro although many do). It's more Russian natural gas than oil that some countries (especially Germany) relied on. Unfortunately, when they go hunting on the global market for replacement volume & are competing against the Chinese etc.its at the current, very high prices.

College friend moved to Poland 3 months ago. He said it's better than the USA and he can't stop raving about the beautiful women there. He says American women have very unfriendly hot mess attitude. Alas, it didn't always used to be that way. Anyway, if you guys can hold off for another year or two, you might get a free trip to Europe paid for by the government!

Headed for Iceland and Norway this Summer and Israel/Egypt/Jordan in the fall.. Now that is quite an eclectic itinerary!

I lived in Europe for almost 17 years, mostly as a home base while in the military. Saw the dollar go from 4 marks to one euro. Loved the history and the food, politics not too much and we are headed in that direction way to fast. Headed for Iceland and Norway this Summer and Israel/Egypt/Jordan in the fall. But home will always be the mountains and forest of Idaho and Montana. What do you plan to do here in Norway? If you want I can arrange a flight in a Tiger Moth or similar around Oslo
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

I never thought my thread would attract so many spammers. Well why, did you not want to post in it again?!?! And here I thought Germany didn’t have any comedians!
