I distinctly remember having the privilege of looking inside up close the cockpits for several WWII fighters at an air show that I attended in 1998. Only the P-47 had a cockpit that was large enough for me to fit inside comfortably! “Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster.
