I think I'm on my 40th character now (have given up on playing this DiD stylee) and came back to play after a couple of years absence. There have a been a ton of changes, and a few of them have been 'meh'. I've gotten used to the 'power ups' for ship speed on the travel map. I play on the Peace Server, although I've no idea if the FTP players can join the old PvP/PvE servers (kind of a wtf decision if you ask me). The wholesale changes to crafting and shipbuilding have almost sunk this game for good for me, but I'll still give it a chance at least for a month or so.
