There are four that I can think of:

Blade Runner

Total Recall

A Scanner Darkly

Paycheck

Am I missing any others? The first two are classics and will still be remembered 20 years from now while the last two came and went and were quickly forgotten about.

Minority Report. Decent movie.

Thanks for that! I should not have forgotten about Minority Report. It’s a pretty good movie with a great performance by Max von Sydow.

edit: Gah! I just realized as well that the movie was released 20 years ago. Time is really flying by us.

Did Max von Sydow ever do a bad performance?

I think the best ones have already been mentioned, but to add to the list, Screamers. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114367/

I wasn't expecting to enjoy A Scanner Darkly but I was pleasantly surprised.

I've not seen Paycheck, I'll add it to my watch list.

The other 2 I've watched multiple times of course.

I'll have to check this one out. I've heard from others that this is a sci-fi cult classic which supposedly influenced the reimagined Battlestar Galactica.

Never heard of Paycheck, I will search it out if I can. Screamers - didn't enjoy that.

As far as Minority Report & actor's performances, I think I would have hugely preferred Colin Farrell to be in the lead role. He just has more of a relatable presence and a more subtle range.

Impostor. I wasn’t very impressed by it, though.

Never heard of this one so I looked it up. It had some well known actors in the cast like Gary Sinise and Vincent D'Onofrio but judging by the few video clips i saw it looked pretty low budget.

"Paycheck" was decent and I don't much care for Ben Affleck. He was well suited for the movie, though. I have seen all the films in the list, but I was not able to finish "A Scanner Darkly." Too many drug references for me.

For me "Screamers" is a perfect case of a film that had a great premise but the low budget and low production values hurt it.

Agreed. I think it came out pretty good for such a low budget B movie.

I was pretty harsh on "Screamers," giving it 1/2 star out of four.

Shame, too, because there was something interesting buried in there--not a pun, either.
