Title says it all, none of my version 1 games run any more. A slow, jerky mess...

Thirdwire is supposed to be working on a Win10 compatible version of Strike Fighters 2. It's hard to say if that will really ever happen. Personally I doubt it. If you really want to play it now, I'd say you're best option is Strike Fighters 2 Complete Edition for Windows 7. Most people, myself included, have had no trouble running it on Windows 10. Most problems people have encountered were with Nvidia drivers and have had to roll back to an older version or adjust graphic settings in the game options. The problem with Win 10 is it keeps getting changed so there's no guarantee that the Win 7 version will not get broken in the future. That's what the Win 10 version is supposed to address. Also, be aware that SF2 no longer supports multi-player. You can get way more information about this topic at Combat Ace. Wizard

Thank you sir, so ya believe the "made for Win 7" stuff will continue to work on Win 10, at least so far in your experience?
And is First Eagles 2 in the same boat?

SF2 runs fine for me on Win10 at its most recent version. If you're just getting into the whole SF2 series there's a lot of pretty good stuff out there but for me personally its pretty much run its course now. After 20 years of modding there's not much left that interests me anymore, although a few folks are still re-discovering fire & re-inventing the wheel for the feel good factor... No idea about FE2 though.

@OP, FE2 runs fine in Win10 -- recommended however is to check over this tip in order to improve FPS in it, in Win10. Also, doesn't hurt to run it in "Win7 compatibility mode" if necessary. On my rig. compatibility mode is not enabled and it still runs smoothly. Cheers all & happy flying (in FE2),
~ For my various FM/AI/FPS/DM Mods. for First Eagles 2, WoFF, RoF & WoTR, and tips for FlightGear, recommended is to check over my CombatAce profile ( https://combatace.com/profile/86760-vons/) and to click on the "About Me" tab while there. ~
