Has anyone here been fighting the invading Thargoids? I equipped my Federal Corvette with multiple enhanced anti-xeno weapons and while I have been able to destroy several of the smaller Thargoid ships I always return to my rescue ship heavily damaged. It cost me about 300K to fix all of the damage to my hull and modules last time.

Yeah, if hunting scouts I'd suggest a fast, nimble ship. The scouts zip around and you gotta track them. A vette can do the job I reckon, but not entirely suitable either.
AX turrets, decon limpets and plenty of integrity to withstand the goo.

I'll have to carry decon limpets for my next encounter. The AX turrets though really tear through the Thargoid scouts pretty fast. The Interceptors are a different matter though.
