Just a question for those that use TrackIR with WOFF and/or WOTR, do you let your frame rates fluctuate in the game or do you lock it to 60 or 120 fps to supposedly match TrackIR's polling rate which is 120 Hz? With my system, I get frame rate sanywhere from 60 fps to over 100 fps with a G-Sync monitor and that's with everything cranked right to the max. But I was reading that having fps off from 60 or 120 fps and using TrackIR may cause some stutters when turning your head. Some people suggest locking your frame rate to 60 fps which is half of TrackIR's polling rate which should make the head turning smoother.

Does anyone who has TrackIr lock them to 60 or 120 fps or do you just leave your frame rates as is? Any opinions or comments are welcome. Thanks.

This reddit topic talks about it with DCS: DCS and TrackIR

"Where TrackIR looks choppy and stuttery is between 60-120fps. Or less than 60. That's the issue"

Never noticed that in 500+ hours of the last DID Campaign.

Have you noticed any choppiness?

Some stuttering when turning head with TrackIR even though the fps is pretty steady. Just wondering if locking the fps to 60 or 120 would help with that. I'll have to test it, but I'm wondering if anyone else was doing that.

I have an old screen with a refresh rate of 60hz and lock it to 60 fps with vsync and have no problems with trackir.

Maybe also worth experimenting with the newer V-sync options in Nvidia if you have that. Also Virtual Reality Pre-rendered frames - try reducing that to 1 (or other value).

Thanks for the comments. I've been away a few days so I didn't get back to this thread until today. I'm going to try different settings with nVidia Inspector and such and see if I can find something different. If I do, I'll post back.
