Purchased the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO SCE as part of a slow upgrade from my Thrustmaster T16000 HOTAS. While the Toolbox had no problems binding and saving changes on the Thrustmaster, that is not happening with the VKB at all. First the tool recognizes my flightstick as a VKB sim Gladiator EVO R. While the axis controls all work just fine, the other buttons cannot be changed and saved. I did calibrate the VKB according to the instructions using their software download. The current configuration is displayed as a VKB sim Gladiator EVO R - All Controller Bindings. It then lists only 8 keys. When I tried to bind Brakes to my B22, it selected the key and asked if I wanted to bind to it. I selected yes and then it displayed it on the right hand side. I then tried to SAVE it. I got a run time error 9 subscript out of range message. So I tried it again using one of the 8 keys already displayed with the same error message upon trying to save it.

I should point out that when I changed the bindings on IL-2 1946 BAT, I had no issues with the VKB as everything worked fine.

Not sure what to do next.

After days of trying to get the VKB to work on WOTR. I think I am ready to give up. Can’t seem to be able to get it to work. I think I am going to look for a different solution. Is anyone using the X56 HITAS from Logitech ? How does it compare to the Warthog?

Thanks to Wango Tango, the super efforts of OBD Technical Support and the VKB Discord Channel folks the issues associated with my new VKB NXT flight stick have been resolved.

For anyone buying one of these products be sure o reset the number of keys from 128 to 32 for WOTR. Also OBD tech support will send you a new WOTRKeys file that is made for VKB NXT controllers.

We hope to release this WOTRKeys in an update, hopefully next week.

I have the VKB CM3 throttle. Does this new update(i installed it. 1.25) do anything to help with compatibility for that throttle? Snow46 how do you set VKB for 32 buttons? I see an option in VKB software for 'split by 32 buttons'? Is that it?

Edit: My bad, I have a Virpil CM3 and a VKB Gunfighter III. I will check into it.

It's just for joysticks or devices that have more unusual extra spaces or characters in the name (as VBK have).
But too many buttons may be an issue, Snow46 contacted VBK software.

The VKB discord channel provided the step by step procedures to change from 128 to 32 keys. It was interesting to find Wango Tango on line at the same time. You make the change within the VKB configuration software that you download off the VKB website. It was for the NXT flightstick. If you are still having issues after 1.25 shoot me or Wango (sorry Wango for volunteering you) a PM and one of us can walk you through it.
