10 semi finalists this week are now 6. Finals next week. The winner will be shown next Sunday. This was a busy week for me: didn't snapshot this week's 6 winning dishes.

I just like to eat food. I couldn't care less about watching people preparing it.

I have not watch this week 3 episodes including last night final. Will today.

Just watch the final episodes. I knew she was going to win from her first appearance weeks ago when she did the skill test. Out of 32 Chefs she had the best skill test result.

She is not even a head chef, she is a Chef De Partie (Station Chef/Line Cook). At 24 years she beat out other Chefs, including some have been cooking for 20-30 years and who currently own their own restaurants. That is impressive.

No I did not. I did not post photos of the dishes the 10 semi finalist and then 6 finalist and then 4 finalist made between 11-26 and Sunday cos I was busy. I also didn't post the dishes the other 2 finalist made Sunday night against Nikita cos I was busy again. That would had been 8 more posts with at least 100 photos.

Giant shrimp. We saw those at supermarket yesterday. $38/lb. I ask how many in 1 lb and was told maybe two. Food for millionaires.

Just buy a pound of cocktail shrimp. Much cheaper.

I cooked for over 40 years, while the presentation, the art of these dishes is wonderful, a plate like that would be way more expensive than you would care to eat and you get a very small portion. I hate all these shows with a passion and don't even get me started on the singing competition shows. They want to create drama and I get that it's for entertaining but it really is just a bunch of crap. You want drama? Film a busy Restaurant on a Holiday like Mothers Day or Valentine's boy howdy and you'll see all kinds of drama and a lot of NSFW language, emotional meltdowns and entitled customers.

It's an expensive, high pressure & fast paced city, like NY.
Many of us are glad that we don't.

I looked through a relatively recent Forbes list of the most expensive cities to live in and NYC has actually dropped down several spots. Oslo, London, San Francisco and Tokyo were higher up on the list than NYC
