Those look like aircraft parts, and since they are loose, they are likely to be slats, flaps or gear doors etc.
Likely WWII era based on previous projects.
The garish colour suggests a German plane.

This is not as easy as I thought...

Could be a RAF trainer considering the yellow.

5.40 am and i'm off to work, and, surprised you lads didn't get it yet! Paint colour is a mix, not available over the counter. Not German.

Baffled. I can't determine the scale of what I am looking at.

Heck, this is difficult. I figure if it's a trainer, it would be mostly yellow, not just a few panels. Japanese and US Aircraft in WW2 had some yellow parts, but not like those...

Figure it will be one of these "that was very obvious" once posted...

Some US Naval aviation planes had a fair bit of yellow, but those panels look too featureless to be part of a kit.
Probably a windsock. biggrin

Unforunately, I'm not WFH today, so can't give this the attention it deserves. frown
So, with the latest clues, I'm going for the Meteor prototype Gloster E.28/39.

They look like gear doors, and I swear I know the shape of the two on the right from somewhere...

You are going to have fun rigging that with the short distance between upper and lower wings. If you pull that white / red stripe scheme off I'll stand you several large scoops of your preferred beer.

They do look like gear doors, but I can't find a match anywhere.

Grog's comment jogged my memory. I was thinking it was the Mentor, but now I'm sure it's a flavour of Meteor.

The kit is a rerelease of the 1988 1/32 kit, new decals and artwork, same moulds.

You won't see too much in the cockpit once she is closed up, big canopy but the frame will kill a lot of it once painted up.

[Linked Image]

The kit instrument panel has nothing on the back so there was big empty void where all of the cabling is. Added a bunch of junk to the back to fill that out.

A couple of coats in on the orange and red mix, 10 to 1 which looks pretty good to my eye. The seam along the top of the fuselage needed some more work so it's currently back being resanded and filled. Seeing that i'm going to do her nice and shiny any dodgy seams will stand out like dogs proverbials.

Wouldn't have guessed it in a million years.

I did suss out the probable trim tabs with the little flaps on them, I think.

I did manage to spill about a qurter of my airbrush cup worth of orange/red mix on the underside of one wing while spraying my final colour coat yesterday...so that was fun. I'm glad i do my mixes so thin, clean up was easy despite how bad it initially looked. Trying to roll this out before chrissy, it'll be a close one smile

1 hour and 39 minutes before 2023 and she's all done and photographed smile Only filled one seam on top of the fuselage with bog, the rest is out of the box and plain as Jane. Very cool and fun little kit to build and looks slick compared to all the prop jobs. Still a lot of learning to go regards clears and getting a nice all over shine, managed to flat spot a few areas and probably could have given her one more gloss go over after decalling.

Enjoy smile

You have a 3080? Awesome!
The model is great as well. That was actually what I first thought, but a rocket plane seemed out of character and I couldn't quite reconcile the parts on show with the kits I found online.

I was going to make some jokey comment about too much CGI, but this is the internet where things often get taken too seriously, so I won't. biggrin

Price dropped on the card by just over 300 bucks a few months back..couldn't resist biggrin

The cgi, aka photoshop is the desktop icons i had to remove from about half the shots and the piece of chewing gum below the tail that was keeping the model level. If you look at the ninth pic down you can see it at the rear fuselage behind the right hand undercarriage...missed that one lol.
