Turtles always remind me of poor tired old dudes that are fed up...
Very true. My youngest daughter had a photo taken in a bar during her Galapagos trip of her posing in in a Giant Tortoise shell. If I'd of got in it bar patrons would of been forgiven for thinking some of the local wildlife had wandered in fro a pint or two.

I'm an idiot. Can you please explain the sentence you posted, "If I'd of got in it bar patrons would of been forgiven for thinking some of the local wildlife had wandered in fro a pint or two." If I had of got in it bar patrons...so hard to understand! Thanks in advance!

Put a comma after "it". I believe he was saying that if he had climbed into the shell, the bar patrons could have mistaken him for a tortoise.

Merci beaucoup! My word, with 5 collegiate degrees under my belt I could not understand the English language when improperly written by BD-123 (remedial English grammer course due for you, sir! haha!) Me no understand BD-123 imprinted words on parchment/paper/screen! haha Happy Thanksgiving, All!

I say; egad sirrah! The temerity of being admonished on this auspicious day (for the US) by ex-colonials for misuse of my mother tongue the Queen's English (sorry 'King's English....got to get used to that!) Judicious use of a comma or the word 'into' mayhap would correct. Though you lot would probably scribe 'gotten in' there. I'm just a poor old East London born of Cockney stock geezer who left full-time education at the tender age of 15 to earn a crust.
Herewith the daughter, shell and my old mush for clarity

Thanks for sharing that interesting and fantastically funny photo of your daughter as a turtle BD-123!
