I just grabbed Star Wars: Squadrons and for some reason Epic keeps giving me an error whilst trying to install the EA app (which I understand used to be called Origin).

Anyone else having problems?

I had no issues. Installed Epic, and had to install EA app to download the game.

I thought I needed to link my Epic account to my EA account but don't see any way of doing it.

Just tried it again. It says 'please wait while we install the partner application' but then says 'something went wrong, head back and start again'.

It does it with Battlefront II too (another EA game).

It asked me to link both profiles, after installing and logging in EA App. No problems.
Perhaps an anti virus or firewall issue ? Try making an exception for both Epic and EA app.

I just tried it on my other laptop. It installed the EA app but then just does the same thing. I give up.

@Wango Tango. Sorted it. I had forgotten I had deactivated my old EA account. EA support fixed the issue easily.

Also, Dwarf Fortress is now on Steam. This version is a bit different as it has actual graphics. Might be worth looking into for those of you (me included) that were turned off by the ASCII graphics of the original.

I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel which should be out sometime in 2023. Hands down it's the best Star Wars shooter I've played (1st person and 3rd person).
