Prior to installing BAT, the enemies would show up on the map in Blue and friendlies in Red. After BAT all I see are the friendlies. Is there a switch or something I can use to see the enemies on the map agaiin?

Any enemies in the vicinity mate?

Yes, there were. I made some changes in the difficulty settings for the map under custom and now the planes show up. So much to learn and soak into this old brain.

Hah glad you got it sorted mate, yeah flight sims can be a mare at times because of the numerous key commands or button commands for the different working parts of the craft. Ultimately rewarding though cheers

It can be overwhelming at the start. But you will get there.
