I'll be watching it on Friday. I'll be owing my wife at least 5 chick flicks but it's a worthy sacrifice I will make. smile

Negotiate to watch Barbie for 3 of them, that's how much chick flick Barbie is. I still cannot believe it made 1.4 billion.

Uh oh. The first comment I've seen online from anyone who has seen "Napoleon" states: "Felt more like Napoleon Dynamite than Napoleon."

I'll be seeing it tomorrow and I take any single review of the film with a huge grain of salt.

I'll be interested in hearing what you have to say Panzer.

I like Mark Kermode as a film critic, he very closely matches my own preferences and gives me my best clue to whether a movie is going to interest me. Not in every case, but enough for me to take not of his take. TL:DW, he quite likes it. He enjoys Joaquin Phoenix's performance, but especially enjoys Vanessa Kirby's. With a shout out to Rupert Everett. He notes that the battle scenes are particularly brutal.

I saw it last night. I enjoyed it but it was not what I expected. It was definitely not your standard biopic.

Didn't get to see it since I got caught up later at work than I was anticipating. I'll see it this coming weekend for sure though.

Thanks Coot. I'll post my review when I see it next weekend. Unfortunately my Friday plans fell through.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

These wargamers were disappointed as well. I would like to see the kind of movie that guys like this want see. It sounds like the movie has a severe lack of just basic storytelling.

I may check this out. It looks pretty good.

Seeing that this was a European-made tv miniseries, my educated guess is that this was probably shown either on PBS or on A&E Network in the US.
