Hi Kepotica,
With regards to the claims, when set to normal, several factors come into play. ........
Was anyone in the area when you shot the aircraft down.
The weather during your sortie (remember weather can not only prevent others flying with you but also the ability for those on the ground to see the aircraft fall).
Was it over enemy lines.
Even if everything above is in your favour, your claim is still subject to the foibles and 'mood' of the claims board.
A lot of aces in ww1 had a great many claims rejected (or as the French used....Probables). If every claim was accepted David Putnam would have left Eddie Rickenbacker in his wake for the USA and George Madon would have something like 120 kills.
As for your second question about only seeing a part of your claims list. Look to the bottom of your claims screen, it will say scroll down. Same with your mission screen.
Cheers
Albert

Wings and fuselage could be—and often were—pierced in 50 places, missing the occupants by inches (blissfully unaware of how close it had come until they returned to base). Then the sailmaker would carefully cover each hole with a square inch of Irish linen frayed at the edges and with a brushful of dope make our aircraft 'serviceable' again within an hour."

claims can be very frustrating, especially for pilots with 3yrs or less flight time in this sim. After that you just seem ready to except what happens. If you look through posts (mine) you should find my "Claim system" which heavily depends on "YOUR" honesty. Fact of the matter is that many RL pilots had lots of claims rejected (depending on which service) and many had tooooo many accepted.
In the end everything balances out though. ps. you should perhaps just celebrate the fact that you made it back (or down) in one piece.

As people have said here, many claims in RL were rejected--but let's be honest, never when the plane shot down crashed within the boundary of the victor's own airfield, as the OP described. This has happened to me and sundry others over the years, too. Kepotica, just accept that while fun and cool to use, the claims system isn't perfect/flawless and sometimes you get robbed. On the other hand, I've been told in a postflight briefing to be sure I make a claim--and I hadn't even realized I had shot down anyone! The reminder to make a claim led to a tallied victory. So, as lederhosen said, things balance out over a campaign.

Hi & thanks for the responses.
I managed to upgrade to 1.34 but what i mean with the claims is that i am getting confirmed kills yet the log book only shows the first 16 entries be they confirmed or rejected, i thought that the log book would show all kills/rejections over several pages! Hi, as per previous responses you need to look to the bottom of your screen when on the claims page and it will say 'scroll down' or 'page down'. Do that and you'll see your additional claims/confirmations/rejections.

The Sopwith Pup is very forgiving and easy to fly. For a little more power, try the Se5 or Se5a. On the German side, the Fokker DVii is king, although it won't teach you much about flying the early war planes.
Avoid the DH2 for now. It wasn't known as "The spinning incinerator" for nothing!

@OP, depends on the period of war when starting as a beginner. For early war, I would recommend something like the Bristol Scout (a wonderful aircraft; the aiming system on it will take a bit of getting used to but otherwise a fine aircraft). For the Central Powers, some of the two-seaters such as the early Aviatiks are fairly docile. The Eindeckers are somewhat slippery. If you want something a bit more stable but a one-seater, try the Pfalz E.III (parasol). For mid-war, as BB says, try the Pup if flying for the Entente; if flying Central, try the early Albies (Alb. D.I, Alb. D.II -- those are fairly stable to fly, less slippery than the Alb. D.III and D.V/Va series). For late war, I would go with the Se5a (either the standard Hisso 5a or the Viper), if flying Entente, and Fokk. D.VII (OAW variant, more sturdily built, or the VIIF BMW-powered variant) if flying Central. Once you become a well-seasoned flier, then I would recommend choosing some of the more challenging mounts - such as the Fokker Eindeckers, Pfalz D.III, Fokker Dr.I, also the Fokker D.VI, as well as the Sopwith Camel on the Entente side (particularly the Bentley-powered Camel), and of course anything from the SPAD series. Cheers and happy flying, Von S

Putting claims, and how to enter a good amount of data has been covered a few times, but basically add your position, near x, what happened to the enemy, how many bursts you gave it etc, where it crashed or spiralled OOC whatever, witnesses etc.
When near your field, often the ground gunner will be shooting too and often hit, so bear that in mind. Otherwise you can try setting outcomes to "easy" in Workshops.
I shot the Red Baron down, no no it was the ground gunners.

Ah yes, the grand old WOFF claims ponderings. Puts me in mind of one of the songs from the Wings Over Flanders Fields Greatest Hits Album, "Your Cheated Claims", (sung to the tune of "Your Cheatin' Heart" by Hank Williams, with apologies to his fans everywhere).
Your cheated claims will make you blue. You watch 'em crash, but get the screw. For as in life, You'll lose a few. You're cheated claims, in WOFF that's true.
When planes fall down and burn and flame. Note place and time, and witness name. Yet still your prize is denied you. You're cheated claims, in WOFF that's true.
Your cheated claims will make you weep, Come medal time brass hats get cheap. They'll say your score is shy a few. Your cheated claims will tell on you

Too funny! You definitely missed your calling as a lyrics composer.

Hi all,
I have an other question: It has been a long time since I have 2 claims (setting "normal") after one mission. When I have written these 2 claims I did registrate, that I can only use one and the same witness for both claims. But there were 2 different witnesses who have seen my 2 claims.
So is it possible to use separate witnesses for every claim after a mission (it doesn't seem so)?
Thanks for answer!
