Speaking of Tom Jones, my favorite song of his is the main theme song for "Thunderball". He really rocks the vocals on that one.

Just thought it would be nice to see what our grannies and grandads were listening to back they were young lovers and just starting out on the long haul of having children and the hard road it must have been...
Any1 that has songs their older folks listened to should put them up in this thread.
Its nice to show these great folks that we still think about them.
After all we wouldnt be here if it wasnt for them...
when it comes to bond all the tracks are amazing...
Two that really got me going when i was a younger dude in my 20s.
When I was courting my first wife to be in the late 70's, we played a lot of Johnny Mathis. I see he's still with us aged 86. Not the best memory for me (she was a real nightmare and I wish I'd never met her to be honest).
Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever are in my top 5 JB theme tunes Phoenix. Great stuff.
EV's are the Devils matchbox.

The majority of the Bond theme songs are good but there are a few stinkers in my opinion:
1. That utter dreck from Michael Smith for "SPECTRE".
2. The theme song for "License to Kill".
3. The theme song for "Quantum of Solace". Completely forgettable.

I never knew my grandparents, they all had passed by the time I was born. I always felt a little cheated by that. But, no worries.....
My parents had me late in life. While all my friends parents has Beatles, Elvis, other stuff from the 1970's, my parents played record from a earlier time.

Wow Phoenix54C that Rory Gallagher video is amazing. I new he could wail, but d@mn. Also a nice cameo of John Bonham at the beginning, sadly the same year he died. I need to explore some more of Rory Gallagher.
From the same show, I know this tune.
