The first film lost money and this was back in the era when a lot more people would go to the theaters. I predict this sequel will flop.

The studio is clearly thinking here that this sequel will do well due to the popularity of the John Wick series. Big mistake.

it sold well on dvd.......as a theater movie, it was a unknown property most people didnt know belong to dc and those that did didnt like the changes anyway.....it was doomed to flop

Of course this is no longer a factor today since the vast majority of the consumer market no longer buys DVD's/Blurays.
