I had this older (mid-late 50's I suppose) American male comedian who (apparently) always wears a suit while doing stand-up pop up 3-4 times in reels on Instagram. I thought he was pretty good and I was going to see if maybe his full act was on YouTube. Well something came up that distracted me for a while, an hour or so later I go back to Instagram to find him... nothing. I've scrolled through 100+ reels and this guy isn't coming up any more and I don't recall his name. It's driving me nuts.

Anyone have any idea who this might be? 50-60 years old, male, American, balding, wears a suit, dry humor.

Thanks!

No idea. If his act is not on the "blue" side, try the Dry Bar Comedy You Tube channel

I'd say Ron White but he has hair. Bill Burr, he doesn't dress smart though. I'm intrigued now.

I'm annoyed I don't know as love American stand up. Did it look old footage?

That worked! Scrolled through and found him, Brad Upton. I was off on his age, he's 70. Since I turned 60 old people don't look as old any longer wink

Here he is:

Music and comedy are my medicine.

I see some of his videos come with woke warnings now (on YouTube).
I completely agree with his theory on climate change.

NFB, it's cool if you never heard of George Carlin. I'm just glad you found some of his videos. Keep watching them. You wont be disappointed. He goes way back.

I saw George Carlin three times in my life. Each time in Las Vegas. The man was a comedy God! I've read all his books too. I didn't always agree with him, but he was funnier then hell. I've seen Rodney Dangerfield twice too. Today IMHO, Bill Burr and Dave Chapel are legendary. Look up Bill Burr's take on the WNBA. It's classic.

I never saw him. But I did own the vinyl copy of A Place For My Stuff.

BTW, I in no way meant to sh*t on NFB for not knowing who George Carlin was. It may have come across that way.

He is not only funny, he is very observant.
He has been dead for 14 years. Thankfully his videos and recordings will live forever.

I like Nick Dipaolo as well. NSFW or politically correct.

No worries WT, I wasn't even thinking that. Nick Di Paolo is good. Another you might want to check out, if you find videos of him, is Dave Landau.

I know Dave Landau well. He worked with Anthony Cumia before going to Lowder With Crowder.
I don't know if you know Anthony, from Opie and Anthony. They had a great radio show on SiriusXM. Well that was their last stop. They were in Boston at one point, and NYC. They were fired a few times for some hilarious stunts. They were together 18 yrs, and hate each other now.
Anthony has a podcast network. Artie Lange was his cohost before Landau.
I listen to Dipaolos free show, and Bill Burr's podcasts sometimes.
Another good podcast is Misery Loves Company with Kevin Brennan.

Cool, will check out Kevin Brennan. Another guy you night know of is Andrew Shultz. What I really like about these guys is they are doing what the great comedians off old did. They pushed the boundaries of the gatekeepers, the establishment, and the purity police. That's what guys like George Carlin did 50 years ago. That has always been the role of comedians in society. You need that push and pull. The whole late night and Hollywood comedy industry is dying on the vine, and that brings me much joy.
