I was in high school when I discovered Pink Floyd so I was around 17 when I first listened to "TIME".

I don't care at all for those "reaction" videos whether they be for music or movies. Most of those "reactions" are contrived and so over the top they are laughable.

You are just jaded. Or you just want to be the first person to call something fake.
I think they are great. I love seeing young people discover Pink Floyd, and other great old music.

Movie reactions sound horrible. I have watched people react to George Carlin stand up though. Reactions to Eddie Murphy's Delirious bits are a good laugh.

To my shame, I only really got into PF in the last 10 years or so.

The only song of theirs I think I ever heard before that was Another Brick In The Wall.

The Great Gig In The Sky will always be my favourite of theirs.

Not at all. If you take some time to research online you will find plenty of legit criticisms of those reaction videos for the very same reasons I mentioned.

Please share a few of the Pink Floyd ones.
Why should I search when you already know them?

And yet you make the knee jerk comment that I said what I said because I'm "jaded" or I want to be the first to call something fake?

You humor me.

I have watched a few of these 'react' videos, but not run-of-the-mill youtubers, generally vocal coaches who can tell you what the singer is actually doing to produce the notes etc. I found those ones quite interesting.

Beth Roars and Rebecca Vocal Athlete were 2 I remember watching. Pretty sure both did vids on PF.

You are hilarious. You were the one making a knee jerk comment...one you refuse to back up.

Here's a tip. The website is called SimHQ, not Dear Panzer.
You don't have to reply to every thread or comment.
Your post count is evidence enough that you love to be the first to share you supposed wisdom.

I was expressing my opinion and an opinion which is shared by many others online. That's it. I don't need to spoon feed you information about my OPINION when you can just as easily look it up.

You know that my original comment was about reaction videos in general right and NOT just Pink Floyd videos? Or are you just conveniently ignoring that part?

I'll repost for your convenience:

Of course I noticed it. You love derailing threads to make it about you. I mean why stay on topic ?

Here is a pretty cool one, a vocal "athlete"...I've never heard that term haha. I think the vocals in this song are amazing.

I see. If my posts genuinely bother you that much then just use the "ignore" feature on SimHQ and that way you don't have to worry about my "derailments". Trust me, I won't lose any sleep over it.

You two need to cool it. Both of you are dragging personal animosity into threads that don’t need it. I was very sad to see you both dragging your fuel into the Queens death thread. I just deleted posts rather than let it ruin that thread.

I was not looking for a fight in the Queen's thread. I was being respectful. Panzer, likely still butt hurt from this thread went after me. Defending NoFlyBoy of all people, Panzer's favorite target.
I am done with the Panzer nonsense. You have my word.

It's kind of cool that a thread about a band known for their bickering has itself bickering in it.

Anyway, thanks for the reminder of what a great album this is.
I think I have the original Edison Cylinder version. smile

The bickering between Waters and Gilmour is an integral part of classic rock lore!

I remember those. The whole punk era was about rejecting the old bands. I went thru a bit of a punk phase myself (much to my fathers chagrin). Actually played in a punk band for a while (just like millions of others did). We were awful. I'm glad there is no audio or any pictures of any of it.

I love Pink Floyd, but I also love Punk Rock too. I think Iggy and The Stooges were better than the Sex Pistols though. I even partook in a mosh pit at a Ramones concert. at 28 yrs old haha. It was Lollapalooza actually, they were one of the openers. Metallica headlined. Soundgarden was there too.

My older brother and his friends were big into Iggy. I just could never get into them. I always liked Husker Du, Black Flag. Fear, The Replacements, and the Dead Kennedy's. St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit used to have killer shows. I once saw a giant fight that started in the mosh pit between some dudes and another group of dudes with the big crazy , spikey, colored Mohawks. It was brutal. Lots of safety pins and girls wearing dog collars. It was a complete freak show, but I just kept to myself. Not many of my friends liked punk.

On The Turning Away reaction, truly a beautiful song. One of the best of the post Waters era.
