Hey all…here we are some 20 years down the line since i first discovered EAW and flight simming in general and still nobody has created a sim that gives me the thrill that EAW did. The music, the screens, the briefings, the leave passes…simply perfect. I have tried numerous times over the years to get back into EAW but the primitive graphics are just too much for me now ive been spolied by the modern sims and VR. I dream of one day EAW being redone with all the bells and whistles that made it great and modern graphics with VR but sadly it wont come to pass alas. Love the way you guys have faithfully kept the sim alive and you should be commended for it. All the best to you all…cheers

Games with better graphics don’t catch me the way EAW does.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

There is one here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a-shQvsM3fd1VZ6bAo7yw00yC5nVJihk/view?usp=sharingRun the downloaded 7-Zip self-installer "160Basic2022.exe" and it will create a "160Basic" folder in the dame folder where you have put the "160Basic2022.exe" Ignore any virus warnings- it is clean. Replace my "eaw.ini" file with a copy of one of yours. Make a shortcut on the desktop to the "eaw.exe" in the "160Basic" folder and use it to launch the game. Do not fly an instant mission, but set up a single mission in mission parameters and fly it. Let me know how it goes

Thank you. I will get to it sometime and let you know. If I get stuck I will be in touch. Sometimes things have to be laced out for me like you would for your slow nephew.
Right now am focused on my actual flying. Doing my annual inspection and maintenance right now. Then I have a long period of flying the Eastern seaboard and states. Hopping around visiting friends and places I knew back in the day.

[/quote] Games with better graphics don’t catch me the way EAW does. Its not just the graphics, im fully invested in VR now and use 9 different peripherals to fly…even without the graphics, and all the peripherals, i cant go back to a 2d screen alas
