Does anyone know if anyone ever made a skin for the Brazilian P47 squad which served in Italy?

And here they are flying escort to a B24 formation. This is in 1.6 and the Italian/Balkan theatre.

Moggy, if that is a high res skin it should work with the newer 3dz wireframes. It would be worth the effort since the newer frames have all those jagged edged smoothed over.

In fact, if you want, I could turn this into a multi-skin package for you without too much effort.

If so, drop the files in my GEN folder and I'll work on it.

One question.

Do all the planes designations begin with "Q" and then a number or does the letter change too?

Ray, I'm rounding up some final skins and planes for the Italy/Balkans theatre including Croatia and Greece. I shall be on your earhole shortly with those. Mostly we have the basic models.

One model we don't have is this:

Any chance you could put one together?

The Hungarian Ju86 was an important part of the April 1939 border war with Slovakia. It was also used in the Hungarian contribution to Barbarossa.

The Ju86 model may be useful elsewhere. The South African Air Force used them in the African/Moddle East theatre, the Luftwaffe and Nationalists had them in Spain, and the Luftwaffe used them in Poland. The later high altitude version was used by the Luftwaffe in various places including raids over Britain.

Looks like a "skinny" LEO 451 so I could probably cobble up something.

How about the P47 project?

Does rather look like the LeO.

I'll drop you the Brazilian P47s. Claudio Wilches says this about these skins: "The "1o Grupo de Caça" (1st Fighter Group) of Brazilian Air Force was very active during the last months of the War, in Italian front. This group belongs to the 350th F.G., as one of its Squadrons".

The Number/letter codes seem to be as follows: " it was divided between four squads that were identified by a letter and a number, the groups were the red squad (identified by the letter A), the yellow squad (identified by the letter B), the blue squadron (identified by the letter C) and the green squadron (identified by the letter D)" The screenies above depict "B3"

Ok, thanks.

I'll stick to the original modder's intention and do the "B" squadron. Shouldn't take more than an hour or so.

The Ju86 will have to wait until next week to start. Family in town this week.

Turns out that's a lo-res P-47.

So instead I'll modify the skin from the hi-res USAF model and make a multi-skin set from that. It will take a little longer but it will give a much better result.
