Last night I loaded up Star Citizen for the first time on my new machine with a Samsung G9 49 inch monitor and...

WOW

Highly advise anyone here who hasn't tried Star Citizen yet with a 32:9 capable monitor to do so. I nearly was convinced I was actually in the game. When I jumped I literally felt that "rollercoaster" feeling in my legs like one feels when going down a hill. VR without VR, basically.

I'm not sure what they've changed lately, though. Been over a year since I have played. The inventory is weird now.

They've added a few ships. Tons of new points of interest, most of which aren't on the map. There's a whole inventory system now. Hunger and thirst are now persistent between logout and log in. They've added some more large community events, but they only cycle them every couple months or so. The latest one is the siege of orison, which is currently in the latest PTU build. One of the older ones, the Nine Tails lockdown is currently running in the live build. They've added bounty missions in atmosphere, instead of them all being in space. There's also bunker missions where you help defend, so there's friendly and enemy AI and woe to you who shoots your allies in there. The survivors will attack you as well as the defensive turrets on the surface that try to destroy your ships. It's also far from optimized, but they've done a bunch of stuff behind the scenes that makes it run much better and look a bit better. That's all I can remember from the last year or so.
