I made a tidier installation which is just for the steam version. Here is the download link:

OAW expansion pack for steam


You need to have installed the steam version of EAW1.2.

Find the EAW folder that steam has installed and make a copy of it for safety

Put the downloaded "July4thOAWSteam.exe" into the Steam EAW folder folder and run it.
When you have done that your folder should look like this:



Run the "Steam_OAW_2022V2.exe". If it crashes it will be because the Visual Basic runtime files are missing.
If that happens then open the "OAW runtime set-up" folder and run the "Setup.exe" file. Agree with everything
Then run the "Steam_OAW_2022V2.exe" again and it should work this time

Select a package and load it. Then launch the game

For me when I use July4thOAWSteam and select BoB Autumn set and BoB Summer set are having problems.
The game closes when I start the flight.
And the aircraft selection screen is like the normal EAW without the mod activated.
I tried using the OAW-GoG128Apr5 in the Steam version and the two sets of BoB Autumn and Summer worked perfectly.
I believe that July4thOAWSteam is having some problem...

Forget the steam version. It is exactly the same as the GoG 1.2 version re-packaged as a steam version
The "OAW-GoG128Apr5" installation gives you the option to use a 1.28 exe
