These are the "New Normal" and its something the USAF has been getting back into. As others have alluded to, the USAF has a long history of doing this type of stuff, we're only recently bringing it back. Its call Agile Combat Employment or ACE and it has been a focus for the air force (particularly USAFE and PACAF) for the last couple of years. BL, the threat abilities are exceeding the defense capabilities. Conflicts are going to require forces to be more agile and operate in displaced/austere environments. You can expect more of this type of training from all DoD and NATO branches.
