I wonder how many people who have seen the movie but not read the short story had any clue about why all the animals in the movie were artificial? Absolutely no explanation was given in the movie with or without Deckard's voice-over.

The only Die Hard I saw in the movie theater was the third one with Jeremy Irons and Samuel Jackson.

Back on Alien 1979.

Cats (the small ones humans keep in their homes) are the world's top predators. There have no equal, not on land, in the air or in the oceans.

SO Alien will not have worked.

How are you defining top predator?
There are other animals with higher % of successful hunting attempts. Others may argue that man is the top predator.

against what ? cattle and domesticated animals.
good luck mr top predator if you find yourself in the "nature" with only your wits about and no gun, and even with gun you are still at disavantage as many animals can take a few shots and gore you before they die.
or you are unlucky to be bitten by a venomous snake, spider, nasty ants, the wrong fly decides to bite you.

Oh, I know about the impacts of domestic cats on wildlife (I am quite heavily into wildlife conservation) but I don't agree with "world's top predators. There have no equal, not on land, in the air or in the oceans" which is why I asked how you were defining that (& your links, 3 of which are for the same study, still don't really answer).

It's the ability to make & use tools that has got man to where he is (& also may be the death of it).

A lot of NFB's posts remind me of those sensationalized Youtube video titles you see all the time.

NFB, thanks for the amusing pictorial addition to a pretty dull topic.

I am a minority here but when I think of Blade Runner I think of Elvis, both highly overrated.

Disagree with the former but agree with the latter. Elvis just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

The original Conan has an absolutely brilliant score by Basil Poleidouris. It's one of my all time favorite film scores.

The score was great but Sandahl Bergman is who I remember the most from that movie.

Good movie which is surpassed by the film score. Basil Poleidouris turned in a tour de force.
