I'll get excited when a BAOR battlegroup gets included, not before.
Hope springs eternal...in the meantime and with apologies for going OT, for fans of Chiefies, 432s and the like, there's always Wargame: European Escalation and Wargame: Airland Battle...
...but as their names suggest, they're not tanksims and in SP can be a bit of a grind (to earn a decent force) and then a clickfest from a birds' eye view (when the Soviets get their act into gear).
I see from that update that they are working on 'heads out' crew (TC, anwyay) and other desirable features, a T-64 is also said to be in the works at an advanced stage. The public demo is very well worth trying out and a good way to practice all the basics before the sim is released (summer 2022 on Steam is EA I think). Love the tanks of course...
...but I also had fun exploring one of the maps in a BRDM-2.
It is already looking promising. If it ends up with a reasonably good command interface and the ability to do some mission editing or a good mission, then it will be well on the way to perfection.
GHPC is coming to Steam Early Access at the end of the summer: September 6, 2022 at noon PDT (3pm EDT). The game will have a starting base price of $29.99 USD and a 10% launch discount for the first week.
