Guess who's back? Me! Past few months have been a mess, so I really didn't have any time to do much here except flying a few missions for DiDIV...Anyways. There's this issue that has bugged me since I first downloaded Recon Wars when it was released - Basically, even when both pilot and observer are fine, the camera is equipped and not damaged, nothing happens when I press Shift + P to take a photo...Neither a message in yellow or any picture actually taken in the debrief (it says "None taken"). Any guesses as to why this is happening? Cheers,
If nothing happens, and you definitely have camera as a loadout, then you must have something else mapped to Shift+P (or another running program using it). - or it's not mapped at all for some odd reason.
Open WOFFkeys.xca file in C:\Users\<YOUR LOGON ID> \AppData\Roaming\OBD_Games\OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields
and look for <Key ID="P" Mod="Shift" Action="SPOILERS_SET" FriendlyDesc="Take Recon Photo" Category="CombatControl" P4Use="y"/>
First of all thanks for moving the thread here - Completely forgot about it. By checking in the toolbox, it appears that Shift-P was bound to "Show player damage" which I removed. Issue is that there's no actual command for "Take recon photo" inside the keybinding program. Is something messed up with the installation? Thanks,
Yes it's messed up, you need to back up your WOFFkeys.xca file just in case, but then go into the WOFFkeys tool and top right button "Reset ALL to default" (you can get to tool in WOFF\Toolbox folder, or go via Workshop and click Re Map Keys/Controllers).
Then reconfigure your joystick etc, and any other keys you may have changed, then save and exit.
Mm there seems to be an issue with the reset to default. For the moment, send me your WOFFKeys.XCA file to the support email, and I'll add those keys in for you until we can look at that.
If you email us and I can also send you a new set of defaults with the keys in. You can put in, and reset to default instead.
