Really like this sim, it's currently my main. Solid ffb feel and good vr support. Great selection of tracks and cars, different disciplines. You can buy it all for $65 or $50 when on sale.
The main reason I went with raceroom is the multiplayer setup. It seems a sort of iracing lite where you have reputation and rating per driver. You start as a rookie with only access to rookie servers. As you gain reputation you get access to amateur and then pro race servers. Each level is higher competition with fewer contacts/crashes, though the rookie servers are already fairly clean compared to other sims as everyone's trying to gain rep.

It will most likely be my go to MP platform when I get all my setup sorted out. I too like how they handle there online racing platform, and what they have going for them. It seems more approachable then iRacing and there´s no monthly fees. All In all, It has more positives then negatives In my book and I am just staring out In sim racing so for me that´s good enough. Hope we can meet there sometime.

Sounds good here. Once you get things sorted out, let's hop on sometime. I'm usually on mid-late afternoon to early evening EST.

I have this on the wshlist and plan to pick it up.
Having only just gotten back in to sim racing I don't want to stifle my progress by jumping from sim to sim. But I'm interested. Keep the reports coming.

The whole game content, all cars and tracks will be free to access till May, 30th. Will definitely hop on and check what has changed over the last years.
Time is the only luxury.

I tried out the free access Frank mentioned a couple weeks ago and like RaceRoom well enough. I haven't driven it much, well just 32 minutes actually. Make that an hour and a half now because they are running a sale where everything is half price. So yeah, I bought the lot of it. Somehow I had enough stuff already to drop the price of the premium pack down to $65 (from $80 as marked), even though I had yet to drop a dime on it. The sale runs for a couple more days. Turned some laps round the Red Bull Ring in a couple different cars. Feels good. Too many sims I have. Three months ago I hadn't really done this in years. I owned Assetto Corsa and F1 2020/21. I race the last one a lot so maybe 'years' is pushing it. And Forza Since then, I've picked up Assetto Corsa Competizione Automobilista rFactor 2 RaceRoom WRC 10 Dirt Rally 2.0 And all DLC All in two months. Too many sims

I had it on my pc for years but never tried it. Just set it up a couple of days ago and I'm having a good time with just the freebie stuff right now. Glad that Track IR works with it. Sure do miss the old days when guod ran a weekly league on rFactor. Had a blast back then with the 2.4 hour race and all the other weekly ones.

Yeah, those races would get 25 entrants.
Maybe we need to go back to rF1 and things will start hopping around here.

I "ran out" of installs for rFactor. Didn't realize at the time that they would only allow you to install it 3 times I think it was. With HD crashes and new pc builds, having an install limit took away my love for it. Don't wish to have to purchase it again since I already bought it years ago. But yeah, those were some fun days with some competitive racing.
