Hi Lolo,
I've had to run down some of the host servers I use.
This was due to the expense.
Also the Tally-Ho site, which has been running in different forms since 2000, has had no update input for a very long time.
So unfortunately it's shut down now.
I have no admin rights on SimHQ so can't remove the banner,

Mike

I've taken that as a request. The banner has been turned off.

Whether or not Tally-Ho can come back, and I understand Mike's need to reduce the servers he uses, I'd like to thank him very much for the service he has rendered over the years.

And especially for Tally-Ho

cheers

Out of curiosity, how large was it? I could probably host in at fsww1.com if there is a need.

Hello Mike

No problem I understand - Life is challenging at the moment.
It's a pity - This website was really the reference for the game.
I'd like to say a big thank you for all you did for the EAW community and this particular website.

S!

Lolo

Hi ArgonV,
The entire site is around 8 Gig.
I'm not sure just how much of its content is still valid these days as much of it is effectively archive.
As I've said input and updates to the site have been rare now and the game has moved on since.
However, there are doubtless downloads there that some might want.
Also there's the authors of those mods etc who may no longer have copies of their work.
I still have the site on backup, but not online anymore,

Mike

Please do this, if you can. Though the stuff is old, a lot of it is reference material for creating newer mods.

And there are still players using older versins of the game.

Hi Peter,
Let's see if ArgonV can host Tally-Ho on the fsww1.com servers.
If something can be done Tally-Ho could be back online,

Mike

That would be great, Mike! I got back to EAW once it popped up on GOG and I use some of the mods over on Tally Ho - I prefer to fly the sim as close to how I remember it back around 2000 or 2001.

Cheers!

I have the space, I can get something set up via FTP perhaps - so you can log in and upload?

Hi ArgonV,
That's good news.
I can FTP if you provide me with the login details.
Then I could update if there's any input, otherwise it'll effectively be an archive site for EAW.
PM me if you're up for it,

Mike

Well, I was wrong about how I read how much space I have on my site. It's 10GB limit total, with 8GB used - not free! So I'm afraid I am going to have to pass. frown Sorry gents!

Hi all,
I've managed to slip 'Tally-Ho Archive' onto a server.
The complete site is now available here:

Hi ArgonV,
Thanks for trying.
As I've squeezed the site onto a server it's back online.
However the link image at the top of the EAW forum was deleted.
Any chance a link there can be reinstated?
