Temporary posting to to Cruz zir Division for a raid down the Antilles. Our 3 Ship Flotilla ( HMS London , Flag, 54 Gun Frigate 9 and 18 prds, HMS Rose 46 Gun , 6 and 9 prds, Ex Spanish Frigate Santa Rosa. and my ship the Penafore 26 ,9 prd .By months end, we had sighted and chased an Aux Cruz zir, out ran us and a lone small frigate, Lost in a fog bank. Then after dawn The Vice Admiral in the Van Hoisted Enemy in sight. We beat to quarters as the enemy's 2 Frigates came into view. Form Line came the next order. In the nearly day long brawl we sank both. a 50-54 ? and a 28 Gunner.
