Target pressures with these cars are slightly lower, 26.5 - 27.5. It's a different compound than the GT3 cars and they heat up more, so a lower starting pressure was needed even over a single lap. Actually it might be better to run in practice, superpole or hotstint mode to get the tires in to a window for several laps on the bounce. I will try that, as I only just thought it as I typed this.
Gave this a go this evening. I have driven GT4 cars, but not that much, and not at Donington, so I didn't know what might be a reasonable target time. The GT4 stable is pretty good, a lot of interesting cars. I started off in the Vantage. I didn't get on with it at first. So much entry understeer that I just drove off the track a a few times on my first lap. Not just miss the corner, but like drove off the track as if I had to go that way as a matter of course. Came back in for some setup work and tried to dial that out, but not enough to be happy with it. Turned a 40.1 which I didn't know yet if that was a good lap. Didn't feel like it.
Swapped to the Audi R8. Right on the first lap it felt way better for me, good balance, so much so that 3/4 of the way around I thought I was blitzing my Aston Martin lap time. But I crossed in the 43s, which surprised me as the lap felt so much better. Maybe it only sounded faster!. After some chassis work I got it also down to 40.1.
Swapped to the Clubsport and went faster. Like all Porsches the weight's in the back and this gets the car 'round the twisty bits nicely. Theoretical is a half second faster and there's time still out on the track, I've bottled the final turn on every lap so far. Haven't done anything with the chassis really. I might give all of the GT4 cars a run-out and see what's up.
First submission

No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!
Fired ACC up again to try a different mode. Chose superpole, which starts in the pits, one outlap and two timed laps. I don't think I took advantage really, but it does get the tires in a better state for the timed laps, compared to regular hotlap mode. It was a matter of hitting the first turn at around 21psi in hotlap versus 24 in superpole due to the outlap. Then you can run most of the rest of it around 26+ and have it stabilize.
First car I ran out was the McLaren 570S. I gotta say I really like this car, especially the balance, and it feels a lot like the MP4-12C that I like so much in AC. Still not totally happy with the setup, especially in slow corners, but I managed to go fastest yet in the McLaren in superpole. Then I tried the Clubsport again in the same mode and came within two hundredths. But since the image I captured for the laptime is so nice I'll post the slower time as submission number two
I think I can definitely do better from the Melbourne hairpin all the way through to Redgate. I'm pretty shaky in this section.
Full size and I think all my entries should be this nice haha. The second timed lap should see a bounce from optimal tires all the way around the circuit, but I didn't get all that much more out of it here

Took the Alpine A110 for a spin in practise mode just to check it out seeing rollnloop doing so well with it. Driving that thing feels so incredibly boring and without any sensation of speed but it isn´t a slouch actually.
I don't see the evidence of rollnloop in the Alpine. Was that replaced with the Porsche laps?
This event is the one that the lurkers should join. These cars are easier to drive near the limit and the lap times will be closer as a result I reckon. I've driven four different cars for this one and all were within a half second or so.

Great work rollnloop. Your ascent to the top rung has been swift, and I am happy you had the temerity to get involved, and just like that you're faster than I am
Are these laps with a controller?
I have some work to do to close the gap to you fast guys.

I must say I'm glad to have you at least a bit challenged, but I'm not on in the same category yet, you'll probably beat my time in a few laps. Just see how Nimrud destroyed my best Alpine (alpeen is the way to name it, did you know ? most youtubers seem not to) effort.
This A110 is a car I droll on.
Much, much less expensive than a supercar, even in my high tax country, and yet very high performance. One day, maybe...
Tried the superpole format Derek mentioned for the first time and could shave some more time off from my previous PB. Still with the Alpine A110. A beautiful car indeed!
