Rush is a great band with many outstanding albums but I can’t help but feel that they stuck around a bit too long? How many hit songs did they have after about the year 1995?

That is very true but just like all other classic "legacy" bands, they sell out their concerts because the fans want to hear their classic hit songs and albums. It's the same reason why Madonna still has sold out concerts even though no one cared about her last 3 or 4 albums.
