Ok looking into it, Albert Ball did not like the SE5 initially, and after intense lobbying was allowed, to keep his N17 to fly his solo missions, but had to fly his SE5 during patrols. The problem with the system, is it will then assign it to other Aces.
Also Ball only used this on solo missions so unfortunately you'd never see him fly his solos.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Ball"... and Ball himself was personally far from happy with the S.E.5. After some intense lobbying he was allowed to retain his Nieuport 17 no. B1522 when the unit went to France; the Nieuport was for his solo missions, and he would fly an S.E.5 on patrols with the rest of the squadron. This arrangement had the personal approval of General Hugh Trenchard"
So we will remove them for now Roger10.
