This mod was initially developed to avoid me creating so many pilots in order to practice recon wars.

The main purpose of this mod changed. I realize that it helps to remove all distractions from the battlefield's ground fire/flak while you focus on completing the mission in campaign. Whatever is the mission. Distractions it removes includes tracers, gun sounds, ground shelling explosions, flak bursts, bullet hits, etc...

I didn't want to give anyone false hopes, so I decided to take down the mod because I couldn't get it to work with JSGME for some reason. Once I activated the mod, it worked. But when I de-activated the mod, the ground fire/flak were still absent.

Strangely enough I can get it to work if I manually install the mod by overwriting the WOFF folders. Restoring the folders from my backup returns the game to normal.

Instead of using the workshop settings (invincible and easy), I like the idea of this mod better. It's just that I can't get the implementation to be user friendly without messing with the WOFF install folders. So, for me, I will continue to use my mod by manually adding it whenever I need it.

I am happy to provide the download again, if anyone is interested in trying to get it to work with JSGME. But if it messes up your game while you're trying, then you'll probably need to reinstall WOFF.

Flak will vary, depending on exactly where you are, but you could just set it to "easy" in Workshops.
See this post I posted earlier.

Also to save having to make a new pilot if he dies you can set outcomes to "easy" in workshop (pilot never dies).

When "Testing" any of my Mods, I have always used "Easy" (pilot never dies) in the Workshop setting and it is the best way to stop you from creating a new pilot should any mishaps happen while testing.

Hallo @Pol,

you are right. You can go back in the settings, till you have the most simple level and this can be enough for training.

I believe, the intention of the mod by @orbxP is more a training-mod for rookies, like shot-training during your pilot-training in your homeland.
And -I have just this thought- maybe it is an idea to integrate some of this kind of training in the pilot-training when you start a campaign (bombs, camera, ballons, or ...).

Greetings!

Thanks Becker01. I wasn’t sure if anyone understood the point of this mod. But you summarized it. Just like “target practice” in your homeland.

In fact, one idea is after you've completed the "official" training that WOFF offers, then you can continue training with this mod (bombings, balloons, R/T, notes, etc...) - using that same pilot - until you're ready for the actual war. And the best part is that you use the same pilot in the campaign so everything gets logged.

If you use JJJ's pilot editor, then you can rename those as practice missions to appear that way in your pilot dossier.

Edit: I completed my first successful R/T "Target Practice" recon mission last night.

An other idea is to add in worksop at ground gunner accuracy "no ground gunner". Then you have your trainig-situation with 1 click.

Okay, that's enough from my side about this now.
IMHO I'm happy about the more realstic ground gunner / Flak. And i will learn to use the camera and ... . The priority is to survive the flight!

Greetings
