After each patch I always mod the viewui file to make the TAC smaller. However for some reason this time I can't find the correct viewui file to mod! The one I changed made no difference, think I'm going mad. Can anyone help?

Also make sure you do not resave as a ".txt" file. If you use notepad, when saving, you need to change the file type to *.* - then save as ViewUI.xml.

For me it always helps to enable the viewing of file extensions in Windows explorer, then you can see what is happening.

What's happening is for some reason the game is going back to the original each time I load the game!

Ah, edit the ones in \WOFF\WOFFScenery\ViewUI
They get copied when you go to fly.

In two folders
Default
Hardcore

One is for Default UI settings
One is for Hardcore.
