Hey folks. Unfortunately my graphics card called it quits the other day. It was a 6+ year old, EVGA GTX GeForce 970 4GB. A real bummer as its been a great card. Right now I've got a bare bones non-gaming video adapter installed that the PC repair man put in just so I could get the PC turned on and some important files backed up. Obviously even the desktop alone runs like crap. I also only had a DVI cable so I can't even use my full monitor space for some reason. Needless to say I'm now hurting for a replacement.
Does anyone in North America happen to have a spare card in good working order comparable to the GTX 970 that they would be willing to sell me? Its also unfortunate that the video card market is in such a bizarre state. I'm also in a situation where I am out of the loop on tech and not sure what I should look for that would at least match my old card while still being compatible on my 6 year old Windows 7 PC. What would be a good solution vs. my old GTX 970? I'd really appreciate any suggestions in that regard too.
I don't want to by second hand through ebay so I'd rather do business with a SimHQ member if I can find one that way. Are there any other sites like Newegg where I could look for a card as well?
Thank you.
