Starshatter: The Gathering Storm, could be said that It´s the Falcon 4 of space sims for two reasons, It has a dynamic campaign, and now It´s free (open source). Well Falcon 4 Is not free but for the price and the BMS mod, might as well say It´s "almost" free. This was the first game I bough from Matrix Games many moons ago, still have It burnt on a CD somewhere.

I remember playing this one ages ago. It was fun and the dynamic campaign was something no other space game did at the time.
Some bad AI kinda brought it down a few pegs. Most fighter would crash when landing and bombers would often engage at terrible ranges for their loadouts.

Yes, I think I remember something like that back then. Could be that these Issue have been fixed now that It´s open source and modded. Still have to downloaded and try it out.
