A great comedian and writer.
A list of people he wrote for: Ronnie Barker, Ronnie Corbett, Sir Billy Connelly, Tommy Cooper, David Frost, Bob Hope, Richard Prior, Mike Yarwood, Russ Abbot, Bobby Davro, Jasper Carrott, Morecambe and Wise, Stanley Baxter, Dick Emery, Dave Allen, Frankie Howerd, Les Dawson and Danny La Rue.

He also had a number one in Finland with Purple People Eater.

A great talent and good bloke.

RIP

To be honest I've not heard of him but some of the other names mentioned in the article I've heard of. I know Bob Todd from "Benny Hill". It seems like that guy looked the same for several decades!

Ah, yes Barry Cryer was one of the good guys. A lot of talent across many years. I have no idea how such people steadily push out consistently good writing. I hope he enjoyed a well-deserved retirement.
