163 new skins in the "More skins by Jerbear"Mod from Jastas 3/7/9/17 and 24 plus two Rumplers.
There are some changes to the first Mod (User Skins by Jerbear, one of which is Hans Bohning's Albatros from Jasta 36. This is a new version of this skin using a new technique for the Bavarian band. It's still not exactly like the real item but as close as you can come with the problems involved with wrapping a flat skin over a 3D model.
There are also a number of new skins in the Alternative Skin Pack so you will need to download all three if you want all the new skins and changes.
Sandbagger will be posting it on the his Mods page when time allows.
Hi all, Jerry 'JerBear' has released updated versions of his skin packs. There 3 downloads available (all are large ZIP downloads). WOFF User Skins Version 6 (1,536,382 Kb - 628 skins). WOFF Alternative skins Version 6 (459,084 Kb - 175 skins). WOFF More skins Version 3 (1,104,465 Kb - 517 skins).
The downloads are available in the 'User Mods Pages' (Aircraft Skins).
Thanks jerbear. I'm a huge fan of your skins mods and more are always very welcome. I do have some questions. I understand that all three downloads have newly revised skins so I will install all of these new versions. However, I'm trying to determine which ones have new skins (ones that weren't included in previous versions). It sounds like there are brand new skins included in "more skins".
What about "user skins" and "alternative skins"? It sounds like both have improved versions of previous skins. But do either of them contain brand new skins that weren't included in version 5?
I ask this because I've created a list of my favorites that I use to select which skin to use on my personal plane. When a new pack is released I go through every skin one by one to find which ones I like the most. If the changes to "user skins" and "alternative skins" were just enhancements to existing skins that were in prior versions then I won't need to go through all of them looking for brand new skins that weren't included until now.
Glad your enjoying the skins and using them. They are intended to fill in the gaps in the available skins for the AI pilots as well. I'm not sure how many people use them in that way as I seldom see one being engaged in the screenshots.
You are correct...Pack 6 in More Skins by Jerbear is all new skins, Anything new in Packs 1-5 are improvements in existing skins. The Alternatives, however have some new skins, I think about 10 or 15 this time. These replace WOFF skin pack skins when new information has come out that shows somthing different for that pilot or unit.
You can see what is new by looking at the ReadMe for each of the three Mods. All changes to the Mods are listed at the top, between the the change log heading and the Information and Instructions.
Mit Hals und Beinbruch!
Jerry
Here's a preview of what's coming next, this is a new Rumpler wing and tail I'm working with. The wings use Olham's lozenge fabric panels which he shared some years ago in the Skinning Tutorial thread. Thanks Mr. Olham Sir.

I've always focused on using your skins on my plane only. I just assumed that if your skins were in the game (via JSGME) that they would automatically be used by AI pilots. Is that not true? What do I need to do to make the AI pilots use your skins?

This was my assumption as well - I have not yet used any of the excellent skins for my own aircraft - but I assumed that, if loaded via JSGME, WOFF would automatically/randomly assign the skins to various AI pilots, ace-status or otherwise, to enrich the variety of skins in WOFF. Is there something that needs to be toggled to have other aircraft auto-assign these fine, additional skins to themselves?
Cheers all, Von S
~ For my various FM/AI/FPS/DM Mods. for First Eagles 2, WoFF, RoF & WoTR, and tips for FlightGear, recommended is to check over my CombatAce profile (https://combatace.com/profile/86760-vons/) and to click on the "About Me" tab while there. ~
Guess I wasn't clear there. Yes the sim will automatically assign the skins to the proper ace or unit as long as they are properly labeled, nothing else is needed.
Glad you liked it Rick. As we both know, a lot of it is the graphics of the sim that makes it come alive and of course, it is built on one of the excellent base skins made by... I think Finn. Thanks for all your work on the Skinning Tutorial...you and the contributors. I using something from there and refer to it almost every week.
Say, Jerbear now we can officially call this version a "six pack"!!
