I understand that Trackir is supposed to just work with Wings, but although I have tried everything recommended in forums and the Wings section of the FAQ that deals with this issue, Trackir is not functioning in the simulation. Does anybody have any suggestions please?

Welcome Dan, Il try my best to help..1st off kick in trackir before you start the sim, make sure your green light is on the camera.

Go into trackir and double check if your head movements are showing fine. Kick WOFF (BHAH II) in and do a quick combat free flight. Click pilot never dies in QC mode so if you do crash you won’t lose your career pilot.
Make sure you’re in virtual cockpit mode and it’s not set to just look forward..F9 and the @ key lock the view so make sure that it’s not locked. Keep an eye on the trackir camera to make sure it stays green, and also check your trackir key bindings so that they don’t override any of the sim keys..best of luck.

Thanks very much for that. I did not have the right view set. Sometimes I find I cannot always think straight, when I become frustrated!
