Hello all; I just recently downloaded Jump Jet by microprose (can't afford a dcs compatible pc yet) and I can't find the manual anywhere. If you happen to have a pdf version of the manual can you please send me a link? Thanks in advance

Somehow I missed this sim back in the day, dunno why. Maybe it wasn't released in America? Looks badass.

Is this the game you are referring to Duvstep?

Harrier Jump Jet

If so, just how old is your gaming PC?

Wow, I bought that in 1992.

Key guide is here... https://www.freegameempire.com/games/Harrier-Jump-Jet/manual-pdf

And on this website, select Jump Jet in the menu on the left. There are 2 links for the manual that are seemingly broken, but if you look a little lower down there is a link to a supplemental manual that works. http://www.abware.net/memories/mpawa/index2.html Not sure if that will be of some use.

I remember this game. It is memorable for me because I could not figure out how to turn off the menu music. I hated the music so very much that I uninstalled the game, notwithstanding the newfangled gouraud shaded terrain. That was the first time, but not the last, that I stopped playing a game because of the music.

I feel the same way about the music in "Battletech." I can't stand soft little drummy pitty patty music with a passion. Truth be told, I dislike all modern drum heavy music, and frankly would rather they remove them altogether. There's not enough emphasis on melody and tonality anymore. The world has gone tribal and it sucks.

When it comes to flight sims I personally don't understand why the developers bother with music at all even if it's just menu music.

I don't think F-15 Strike Eagle III had menu music, but Jetfighter 2 and Gunship 2000 did. Gunship 2000's was kind of odd, too, but strangely catchy.

If you don't have a soft spot in your heart for Fighter's Anthology menu music, then I don't think we can be friends anymore LOL. I think you could turn it off in game IIRC.
