Music trivia for today:
"House of the Rising Sun" was not written by "The Animals".
"The oldest known recording of the song, under the title "Rising Sun Blues", is by Appalachian artists Clarence "Tom" Ashley and Gwen Foster, who recorded it on September 6, 1933, on the Vocalion label"
“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”

"House of the rising sun" should be sung by a woman, seeing as it's the lament of a whore. I've never heard it sung by a woman though.
Of course The Animals make the definitive version, and is IMO the best. Closely followed by White Buffalo.
"They might look the same, but they don't taste the same."

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Just checking if any of these words are the last. Move along, nothing to see here.
