It's fine here, yes you need some forward stick as it wants to climb, but nothing that a gentle push forward can't fix. Make sure you have some throttle. If it's very weird for you then you may need to calibrate your stick (both Windows control panel, and in sim) or adjust its sensitivity in the control settings in WOFF Workshops (Re Map Keys/Controllers, click on an axis, click on Advanced). To do it in sim, at runtime pause, then push the stick fully back and forward, left and right and circle to full extents if necessary before unpausing.

Very good tip Mark! Is that recommendation documented somewhere? Sorry I don't recall.

I confess, I'm a newbee...I've trained on the Be2c plenty of times OK, but then I gave my German pilot a go in an Aviatik B.I The plane goes up, and almost immediately goes into a stall. I'm pushing forward on the stick, scaling back my throttle, but I've crashed again and again. If it stabilizes, it's only for a moment, and I don't have the attention span to spare in order to locate my mates and proceed with the mission. What could I be doing wrong?? Just noticed this. If you are using rudder pedals, make sure you have disabled the rudder twist function on your joystick, as this will produce weird results as you unintentionally twist the stick while flying. Also make sure there are no other conflicts, I have had my right toe brake for some reason bound to my elevators, with the expected disastrous results. Does this behavior happen in other planes?
The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...

Also make sure your rudder pedals are only using the appropriate axis, if you leave the toe brakes working you may find them acting like a joystick, one doing roll and the other pitch.

As well, you might wish to check over the alternative, tweaked FM for the Aviatik B.I. Good hunting and observing at slower, historical speeds, among other tweaks. Cheers all, Von S
~ For my various FM/AI/FPS/DM Mods. for First Eagles 2, WoFF, RoF & WoTR, and tips for FlightGear, recommended is to check over my CombatAce profile ( https://combatace.com/profile/86760-vons/) and to click on the "About Me" tab while there. ~
