I'm trying to skin my BE2c for the DiD campaign but can't seem to Skin the engine housing or the upright wing spars. No matter what colour I put on (or what layer) I have issues ... the rest of the plane is fine just engine housing and spars I'm using this for inspiration I wondered if anyone can help? Thanks Seb

Aaaaah yes, the old "why can't I paint certain parts of my aircraft" conundrum. A long-standing OFF/WOFF mystery. You will find said parts in the "shared" folder inside the "aircraft" folder in your WOFF install. Don't ask why, but that is where they will be, likely an old CFS3 holdover or some such. And when you paint those shared parts the color you want, every other plane of that type will also sport the new color.

. Thank you both! I understand that makes sense. I will try and work around it! Take care!

Hi Seb, As Lou points out, the skinning of some aircraft can be a problem due to the way the templates are laid out and how they are associated with the 'shared' templates, which are created by OBD. I skinned many thousands of aircraft in my ten year stint as an OBD skinner. I came across this problem many times times, including distortion in some areas. Most of the time I had to get back to OBD to sort it out. Just one of the vagaries I'm afraid of skinning,
Mike

Thanks Mike, I really appreciate your answer ... as well as your beautiful skins! I've thought about writing a wee jsgme mod - but the BE2cs are beyond me. Thank you again! Seb
