For years now I've been an AMD user however this build I have gone for an RTX3060ti. Now the frame rate increase is jaw dropping, but, I'm certain Anti Aliasing isn't working properly. When using my old AMD card I found it very straight forward to set the AA in the cards settings. At x8 and Adaptive Multisample there where no jaggies at all and the wires look good to. Currently with the 3060ti wires a jagged and blink looking at planes not to far off their wings blink on and off plus I can still see jaggies it looks like the AMD card set at x2 or maybe x4.

What's worrying me is that I've set x8 in the Nvidia control panel. I noticed a different game earlier today which didn't seem to be using the control settings as it had jaggies as if no AA had been set.

Any help be appreciated.

Just a quick thought...I don't think you mentioned it...

In Nvidia Control Panel, do you have the Anti Aliasing Mode set to "Override Any Application Setting"?

Maybe that'll help smile

Hello Robert. Corrected that; thanks.

Wodin: Is that for the individual game or 'global' (or both)? NVCP can be sort of 'fussy' at times IMHO ...maybe you just have to 'trial and error' the settings. I've even seen where turning (a given setting which didn't appear to be working) off then back on would actually correct that sort of problem. I find it interesting it's more than one game; leads one to believe there's a larger issue than one game (or indeed with the NVCP itself).

Have you considered updating or un/reinstalling the Nvidia driver? Incidentally, what other game did you see with the same issue?

Sorry I'm no more help, just some blind guesses biggrin biggrin biggrin

problem will be that standard Nvidia settings will not run AA because of the newer drivers and card architecture.
you will need a "AA compatibility" turned on....and that through Nvidia profile inspector.
I have this on in the default / Global settings

you need the Diablo III

It seems to vary from person to person but for me in WOFF workshops, set AA to 2 then set Nvidia to "enhance the application settings."
Then depending on the fps and res, set it to 4 or 8 (effectively it will be doubled if your workshops is 2X).

I do that in a profile made for CFS3.exe in Nvidia settings rather than changing the global setting.

I have never had to set AA compatibility though.

AA compatibility is a relatively new problem. Can't remember at what driver series it started. (400+??)
Anyway, if you don't set AA Comparability then your AA settings wont kick in/take over if NCpanel (GPU) is to do the AA for the game.

you can set this for every game profile if you want, or set in the default which is then used/carried over by all profiles as you add them.

OH WOW!! That did it Pol!

Looks AMAZING. The FPS increase is astounding. I've never had an upgrade with has had such a huge impact regarding speed. Gone from A Ryzen 1600 and AMD 480RX 8 gig to a Ryzen 5600X with a 3060ti 8 gig. If I previously sped upto x8 I'd be lucky to get over 12 fps now was hitting between 30 and 60 FPS! At x8!! WIth loads of planes in a dogfight was getting 80+FPS!! Max FPS was 168!! Oh WOW. So not only jaw dropping speed increase but now the AA is sorted it looks superb, couldn't look better! So happy with my new build. All I need now is Track IR..I've never had WOFF run at this kind of speed over all the years and upgrades and new versions, never. Very happy.

Thank you Gents! I checked my settings to see if they matched what Pol suggested. After setting to "enhance application setting" its a whole new world. I just thought I had my system running well. What a change!

Hmmm not sure what happened. New driver release and I can't get AA at all. Not bought an Nvidia card in years, I'm thinking come back AMD all is forgiven!
Tried DIablo 3 thingy to no avail

Hurrah!

OK I reverted back to the 466.47 driver release and all is great again using enhance setting! I suggest those with similar card avoid the driver release that also works for Win 11. If you have WIn 11 I suggest what are you doing, get back to Win 10!
