A lucky man indeed! A very hard-to-find book that looks to be in very nice condition, what a great gift.

I echo Lou's response Epower. I wonder how many Google searches and musty used book stores she had to endure in order to come up with that fine gift!

She may have grown tired of my numerous complaints about the photo quality in the Naval and Military Press reprint I used for Oliver's time with 24 Sqn. Oh, now that is a different story! Is it possible your eyesight was impaired by the spirit of the moment, while you were composing Oliver's reports? Hmmm!

Very nice . I 've re-re- read Lambert's "Combat Report" about his time with N°24 squadron from April till Sept. 1818. Very intersting to catch the mood if this time and these men , with lots of vivid accounts of aerial combats.
