I've played a bit of Frostpunk and can give it a solid recommendation. It's basically a city builder, with some map exploration thrown in as well.

Star Dynasties has a demo - you can play a bit of a tutorial and the first 20 or so turns with it before you buy. I've downloaded it and taken a brief look, but
nothing more. Oh and there's a map scrolling issue - my map kept scrolling and I was unable to scroll it to where I needed it to be. There is an option (Options/Settings/Mouse Only Panning) that will correct it.

Most likely, I´ll pick up Stirring Abyss but from the Matrix store (almost the same price) as you get the game and a Steam key...

I see steam has a sale on the module for command ops 2.I'll just grab Highway to the Reich and Bastone.I have the original HTTR but it's a no go on win 10.I like the style of game play.Heck I still have the original manual and tutorial guide printed out and bound at Kinkos many moons ago..

I have been thinking (since the winter sale a few weeks ago) about getting some of the modules for CO2 since there on sale. I also still have the original Airborne Assault COTA , but that runs pretty bad on W10. From what I have red, HTTR, Foothills to the Gods, and The Cauldron pretty much cover COTA missions but on the newer CO2 engine. I just wish those counters were a bit bigger! CO2 and CMO are probably the best In depth wargames for PC till date without getting into counters, aside from Scott Hamilton´s TTS series (Tactical Study Series) from HPS Simulations.

So you bought Kenshi? How do you like it, any mods etc.? Or maybe you thought that´s my last name?

Nice app for radio. I am more old school in that sense, I actually get into short wave radio. I have a Sangean ATS-505 portable radio sitting on my desk, I dial in (find) stations from all over the world, It´s a bit of a hobby at night.

Haven't got going on Kenshi yet Red.Just got it in and fired it up to see how it runs.Been messing with This Land is My Land.Too many games and I wish there were 48 hours in a day.I just take the initial learning curve slow.I've got a Logitech game pad I'm trying to figure out how to use.And get it to work in harmony with my Logitech stick..
BTW for small counters I have an on screen magnifier and a hand held one..

I have a Xbox controller (game pad), there cheap now, but I also have a Logitech F310, and a Saitek Cyborg Evo (joystick). I use the Xbox and the Cyborg on my old PC which I use for everyday use, and regular gaming. The F310 I use for my sim PC, along with my HOTAS and all the other outboard gear, I use the F310 for views but I don´t really recommend it for gaming. Never really got it to work /always in most games so I only use it for views on my sims. It works ok for that.

I have a hand held magnifier too, I guess we are both on the older side, darn it!

Red I have the F310 and never thought to use it in sims as a second controller.I also have a thrustmaster tm1600 throttle..Only tried pairing it with a stick in EAW.Tried it in IL-2 and WOFF but I was using their crappy software,I've been told just program it in game..Looks like a couple of experiments tomorrow..I need to ask around when trying to do something.Thanks for the tip.

I never use the apps for my controllers TBO. Except for my Logitech G13 which I use for FPS games, and Steel Beast, main reason I bought it is because you can program it and have up to four profiles for one game, you can also program key combos so It´s very practical. There are keyboards on the market that can do the same. Aside from the G13, I just program In game. I really just Install the drivers for the controllers. I only use the pdp app for my Xbox controller once In awhile to calibrate the controller, as it sometimes goes heywire. The G13 Is really worth it, It´s a great tool for gaming and would buy it again If needed.

Oh by the way, this might be of help. I know of some more but right now my sim PC is not set-up (moved house), but basically It´s the same, and can do similar to the G13...

Thanks Red I did have a Nostromo (Belkin) keypad Didn't work too well in Win10 ,Used the Vista drivers and it worked somewhat..I got the Thrustmaster throttle out.Should work in my flying sims but not sure about FPS games.I can always go back to my oold style and write all the commands on a note book for reference ..Bad case of CRS here (Can't remember S***)
