My current bosses. Beagles (or mixes) #4 & #5 (obviously I don't learn from experience). Gracie (10y/o), on the left, doesn't care. However, George (5y/o) wants to know why I am disturbing him.
And another new member joined the "Pets of SimHQ" Club in Hong Kong
On the left, Bubble. Found roaming the streets of Shanghai as a puppy. Now hitting her 11 birthday. She is the Boss. In the centre, Loopy. Hong Kong rescued dog. Suffers from allergies to practically everything. Venison, lamb, flip-flops and fresh water are ok, that's about all she can take. And to the right, Lollipop. New member to the Club. Joined us 3 weeks ago, given by a friend. Around 10 weeks old, typical lab. Planning to rename her Typhoon, or maybe Chaos. Rough calculations on weight gain indicate she should reach donkey size by this late spring.
Cheers, Slug

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to Lilly. I am heartbroken today. She adored me like no other dog I have had. She was our 3rd Boxer. Time for us to take a break from dogs for awhile. The kids are grown up now, and the pain of letting them go is never easy.
I am sorry to hear that. And I have to say, that is one reason I don't have a dog - I would have a hard time dealing with the loss when the time came..

I'm very sorry for your loss WT. It's often said but it's also very true that pets often become like another member of the family.

Oh man, I get choked just writing this post, and I've never experienced it. Sorry man, but nice pic.
Still on my first 2 dogs and a cat (cat was late-mother-in-law's), all rescues, ages 13 to 14.
The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in Gives way and suddenly it’s day again The sun is in the east Even though the day is done Two suns in the sunset, hmph Could be the human race is run
Losing a dog, or cat, or any beloved pet is hard as hell. I currently have beagle mixes number 4 and 5. Lost a couple to old age and one to cancer. Doesn't matter how it happens, it sucks all the same. WT, I feel your pain. I did not cry when my father died, nor did I cry when I laid my mother to rest. However, when I had to put my cancer filled Willow down I broke down in tears.
Well, after a little over a year of having no dog, we decided it was time again. We has spent the previous 22 yrs or so with 3 Boxers at various times, most years with 2 at a time. Putting them down is so #%&*$# hard. We needed a break. But we are ready again. We went with an American Bulldog this time around though. Nov 6 we picked him at 7 weeks old. My Great Grandfather was Artillery in WWI (shot twice by machine gun fire at Vimy), his son, my Poppa was also Artillery, for 6 yrs in WWII. So I decided to name him Artie in their honor.
