Thanks to Panzer,OG and Cybercut for getting me back in the forum.
That was nearly 3 months away and to be honest I'd given up hope of ever getting back with my original account.
I botched a password change that left me unable to log in and my recovery e-mail had been defunct for at least a year. I'm going to update that right now. (edit,looks like it's been done for me,thanks admins).

(edit,looks like it's been done for me,thanks admins). I had the same problem for a long time too. Then one day I got a Happy Birthday e-mail from SimHQ, so I decided to try logging in one more time. Much to my surprise it worked.

This is another case where it is good to have another SimHQ member email or two. You can contact them and have them notify us to fix login issues.

I went there yesterday as soon as I could log back in. I saw that my new e-mail address was already in the relevant area. In red text it says 'Your request to change your Email address to 'xxxx_xxxxxx@xxx.xxxx.com' is still unverified. Please check your Email for our Verification Email.' That still refers to my old defunct e-mail address. Everything else looks fine.
